Global Mentoring Program

The Global Mentoring Program runs from April to December 2025.

Only members can participate as mentors and mentees. For information on becoming a member, please visit our Become a CPA page.

Please note priority will be given to members who have completed their CPA Australia designation.

There are no fees payable for CPA Australia members.

A maximum of 650 mentees matched with 650 mentors. Participation will be based on the information provided in your application form and the availability of a suitable mentor.

The information you provide will help us ‘match’ the right mentee with the right mentor, based on experience, skills and what you both want to achieve from the program. Contact details will be shared with your mentoring pair.

As this Mentoring Program is open to all CPA Australia members globally, please ensure you have selected the location you wish your mentoring partner to be located. CPA Australia will endeavour to fulfil your request, however cannot guarantee you will be matched with a member from your desired location.

Once you have uploaded your profile, we will review the information you have provided and use it to try to identify a mentor/mentee that will be able to support you in achieving your goals. It’s important to note we won’t ‘match for matching sake’. If a suitable match is not available, you will be able to apply for future programs.

You will hear from us by mid-April for the Global Mentoring Programs as to whether your application has been successful.

If your application is successful, you will need to attend the following:

Global Mentoring Programs: 

• 1. Program Launch event: 7 May 2025
• 2. Progress Review event: 24 July 2025 for Mentees, 29 July 2025 for Mentors
• 3. Program Close event: 10 December 2025

You will also be required to complete a compulsory one-hour online training course by Friday 30 May, 2025. The training will help provide you with the knowledge and skills to have a successful mentoring relationship. Failure to complete the training will result in assumption of withdrawal from the relationship, and you will be substituted by another mentor/mentee.

It will be up to each mentor/mentee pair to establish their own timetables for their one-on-one meetings, which should take place at least monthly for the program period.

To ensure the quality of the program we restrict the number of pairs accepted each year, and these decisions are made based on the information provided on your application and the availability of a suitable partner. If you were unsuccessful in being matched this year, you are welcome to apply again for future programs.

Absolutely! Great mentee/mentor relationships are based first and foremost on trust. Your participation in the program is confidential and you will agree with your mentoring partner how you will handle confidentiality between you. All participants are expected to abide by the Mentoring Program Code of Conduct, as well as upholding their obligations as a member to abide by the CPA Australia Constitution, By-Laws and Applicable Regulations.
