In February 2022, the Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board (APESB) approved revisions to APES 320 that become effective from 1 January 2023. The revised standard is now Quality Management for Firms that provide Non-assurance Services.
Documented policies and and procedures has always been critical to ensuring your compliance with APES 320 and will continue to be the case with the standards revision. All public practice certificate holders managing a public practice firm offering non-assurance services must have quality management to be compliant with APES 320.
We have revised our previous Quality Control tool to help you develop a custom Quality Management Manual for your practice, tailored to your individual circumstances. This manual evidences your quality management. It will help you to document policies and procedures doe the seven key elements of quality management included in the standard, to protect and assist with consistent quality in every engagement you perform in your practice.
The document you create using the tool assists you to be APES 320 compliant, helping you to meet your regulatory obligations.
A revised tool for changes to APES 320 effective 1 January 2023 is now available for you to use.

The CPA Australia Quality Management Manual Tool and any material generated through the tool is designed to assist CPA Australia members holding a public practice certificate to document their firm's system of quality management, including the policies and procedures implemented under APES 32O Quality Management for Firms that provide non-assurance services.
