Information for third parties and migration agents
Third parties and migration agents have the ability to manage their client’s skills assessment application from their own CPA Australia account. This page contains information about managing applications for clients with CPA Australia. Choose from the options below.
Apply for a new skills assessment application
Follow the steps below to get started:
- If you are using CPA Australia services for the first time, please create your CPA Australia account using the third-party email address indicated on the signed third- party authority form.
- Log in to your CPA Australia account. From the account dashboard select “Other Services”, then choose Migration Application from the dropdown list to begin the application.
- If you wish to return to your unsubmitted application at a later time, please log in and navigate to ‘My CPA’, then ‘My Account’ on the account dashboard, and click on the ‘My Applications’ tile. Select ‘Edit application’ to update as required.
- Once you have completed the application form and uploaded the required documents, please proceed to lodge the application online.
Apply for additional services to existing valid skills assessments
- If you would like to apply for additional services to your client’s existing valid skills assessment that was finalised before 18 July 2023, please email your CPA Australia ID and your client’s CPA Australia ID to [email protected] for us to link your client’s application to your account.
- Once you have received email confirmation that the application is linked to your account, you can then log in using your CPA Australia ID to apply for additional services on behalf of your client. Your client’s application will be on hold until this step has been completed.
- From the account dashboard select “Other Services”, then choose Migration Application from the dropdown list to begin the application.
- If you wish to return to your unsubmitted application at a later time, please log in and navigate to ‘My CPA’, then ‘My Account’ on the account dashboard, and click on the ‘My Applications’ tile. Select ‘Edit application’ to update as required.
- Proceed to the ‘Assessment Selection’ page of the application and locate the existing skills assessment for which you wish to purchase the additional service product that you are eligible for (this may include: Update, Appeal, or Apply for Skilled Employment Assessment). For assessment of additional ANZSCO codes, please click on 'Create' and follow the prompts.
- Once you have completed the application form and uploaded the required documents, please proceed to lodge the application online.
Fast Track Processing
Recognising the importance of time for both you and your clients, we have a Fast Track option for skills assessments. Please note that the Fast Track option applies to the full skills assessment and additional ANZSCO code applications only.
If your client also requires a skilled employment assessment, please purchase the ‘Skilled Employment Application’ separately. Skilled employment assessment is only available upon receipt of a successful full skills assessment outcome.
Begin your application
Start a new application or (if applicable) submit an update for an existing valid application with additional details, apply for a skills assessment (e.g. for an additional ANZSCO code) or a skilled employment assessment or lodge an appeal here.
Third Party Authority
When lodging an application on behalf of a client, along with your client’s supporting documentation, you will also need to submit a completed and signed third-party authority form.
All communication about the progress of the application will be sent to you on behalf of your client. It’s your responsibility to keep them informed of the status of their application.
