Welcome to my September President’s update.

It has been a busy couple of weeks for the CPA community with events across the business and across sectors. As we head towards the end of the year and the silly season we have a few more opportunities to come together as a CPA community.

We have the following events coming up in October:

2024 Congress on 15–18 October 2024 in Canberra, plus 7 weeks OnDemand

Over the past four virtual years, CPA have welcomed 42,000 attendees from over 50 countries. Now it’s time to Level Up as we introduce an in-person experience unlike anything we’ve done before. This year the in person event will be in Canberra.

Public Practice High Tea event – Tuesday 22 October (in Person)

The Victorian Public Practice committee invite you to Join us for a relaxed morning tea with an inspiring mindset keynote, followed by networking with fellow professionals. Be ready to feel empowered and inspired by Lucy Allen from The Graceful Collective as she delivers an authentic and powerful keynote on mindset.

It will be held at CPA Australia, Freshwater Place, from 10.30 am to 12:30 pm.

Innovation & Technology Committee Webinar

from 12pm to 1 pm on the Tuesday 29 October 2024. (online)

Diwali Festival

We invite you to part take in this vibrant tradition with the Victorian Division. Experience a light ceremony, delicious food, and traditional dancing, while hearing inspiring stories from esteemed financial professionals.

Also in addition to the above we have our member recognition evenings coming up for the 2nd half of 2024. Please see the dates below and I look forward to presenting awards in the coming months to those who have achieved their final results, milestones and FCPA advancement.
