Resuming your membership
We’d love to welcome you back to the CPA Australia community so you can benefit from the recent improvements we’ve made to our products and services. When you’re ready, simply complete an online application form to resume your membership.
Your guide to readmission
We know members have different reasons for pausing their journey with CPA Australia. Whether you’ve taken a year off, or a decade - or somewhere in between - we’ll work with you to streamline your return to membership.
Application assessment
We assess each readmission application against current entry requirements, in accordance with our By-Laws. If you left membership in the past five years, it’s likely you’ll be able to return with the same designation, though each application is assessed individually.
If you left membership more than five years ago, you may need to provide extra documentation, or, in some cases, complete additional study. Any additional requirements will be outlined during the readmission process. We encourage you to contact us if you would like to discuss your individual circumstances.
Processing your application
Please allow up to 15 business days to process your submitted application. If you left membership more than five years ago, or if you don’t immediately satisfy the criteria for readmission, it may take longer. If your documentation is incomplete, or we need additional documentation, this could also delay your verification time. You can review our supporting documents guide if you’re unsure about how to supply this essential information.
