Julie Crisp becomes first Territorian appointed to CPA Australia Board
- Former NT Auditor-General becomes first Territorian to join the Board of Directors at CPA Australia
- Appointment commenced 1 October 2024 for a three-year term
Julie Crisp FCPA has become the first Territorian to be appointed to the Board of Directors at CPA Australia.
Former Auditor-General for the Northern Territory, Ms Crisp is currently Deputy Chair of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB).
CPA Australia President and Chair, John Curtin Distinguished Professor Dale Pinto FCPA, said he is thrilled to welcome Ms Crisp to the Board.
“Julie is a highly accomplished director, auditor and advisory professional with more than 30 years of experience,” said Professor Pinto. “Her skills and knowledge will no doubt add great value to our organisation as she shares the Board’s commitment to providing ongoing value to our members.
“It’s a delightful coincidence that Julie has become the first Territorian to join the Board of Directors at CPA Australia. I’m confident that her appointment will enhance our connections with the Top End and inspire more aspiring accountants from the Territory to pursue careers in our esteemed profession.”
A retired partner with Deloitte, Ms Crisp’s experience includes risk management, internal audit, financial audit, forensic analysis and business process improvement.
Ms Crisp said: “It’s an honour to join the Board of Directors at CPA Australia. I look forward to working with Professor Pinto and the rest of the Board to further enhance and promote the value CPA Australia provides to its members and the profession as
a whole.
“It’s an added bonus that I am the first person from the Territory to be appointed to the Board of CPA Australia. The profession is a tight-knit community in the Top End so I hope this can help inspire others to pursue the kind of rich and rewarding career
that I continue to enjoy.”
