CPA Australia makes five short courses available to help business professionals master the art of data management
CPA Australia has partnered with global EdTech leader Keypath Education and the Australian Financial Review to help professionals master the art of data with a series of online short courses.
Five of CPA Australia’s market-leading data and statistical analysis micro-credentials are now available through the AFR Short Courses platform to help inspire greater professional development in this new and convenient, on-demand format.
Other leading institutions providing short courses on this platform include Microsoft, University New South Wales, Sydney University and Melbourne Business School.
Courses focus on high-demand skills to equip busy professionals with the practical knowledge they need to boost their careers in a competitive business marketplace, with data and artificial intelligence (AI) the key learning themes at launch.
“We’re delighted to help bring this streamlined and convenient approach to ongoing professional development to life,” said CPA Australia Chief Learning and Innovation Officer, Dr Ash Jones.
“This resource brings trusted names in educational upskilling and expert courses to a wider audience of professionals.
“This is part of CPA Australia’s commitment to create pathways to success and ongoing development opportunities for individuals to boost their knowledge and career prospects, and in doing so help improve business productivity and growth.”
The five short courses from CPA Australia – between four and six hours in duration – focus on skills including data interpretation, statistical analysis for decision-making, and creating a data-driven culture.
“Data management, AI and other technologies are transforming many professions for the better and revolutionising the way professionals work,” said Dr Jones.
“Far from reducing the need for certain jobs, emerging technologies are creating new opportunities and elevating those with recognised skills and qualifications within their organisations. Those who own and interpret the data that informs business strategy will be increasingly valued.
“As repetitive tasks are automated, certain roles will focus more on high-value tasks such as strategic planning and advisory services. This is true for accounting, as well as many other multiple disciplines.
“Recognising this shift, CPA Australia is dedicated to equipping professionals with the resources, qualifications and training needed to succeed in this transformational era.”
