Modern slavery statement
Content Summary
Our modern slavery statement sets out our efforts to prevent and address any involvement we may have in modern slavery.
Our response to modern slavery is guided by three key principles:
(i) the risk to individuals is paramount to all other risk considerations
(ii) we actively seek to identify the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains even if we do not find instances of modern slavery, and
(iii) assessing modern slavery risk and taking actions to address those risks is the right thing to do, and drives commercial and social value for CPA Australia, which results in value for members.
Our statement highlights how we have applied these principles to assess and address modern slavery risks in our operations and supply chains.
Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms enjoyed by all human beings without distinction
On 8 December, the CPA Australia Board approved our first Human Rights Policy.
The new policy expresses our commitment to respect human rights in all areas of our work. We encourage our members and suppliers to act in accordance with the principles in the policy. The new policy also underpins our three organisational values: to create opportunity, pursue excellence and achieve together.
