On 1 April 2025, the Disciplinary Tribunal found Mr George Yanardasis breached CPA Australia’s 11 May 2022 Constitution:
- Article 36(a) in that he “committed, participated in or been involved with an Adverse Event” as defined in Article 76(e) as having “failed to observe a proper standard of professional care, skill or competence;” by failing to comply with the principle of professional competence and due care in that he did not act diligently and in accordance with the requirements of an assignment, carefully, thoroughly and on a timely basis in failing to respond contrary to R113.1(b) of APES 110.
Mr George Yanardasis attended the Disciplinary Tribunal hearing and admitted the Complaint.
Penalty and Costs:
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalties:
- A severe reprimand.
- A fine of $3,000.00.
The Member was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of $22,915.40.
