- Article 39(a)(ii)(F), in that he had “been the subject of an adverse finding that has not been overturned on appeal in relation to the Member’s conduct, competence or recognition by any Court, professional body, statutory or other regulatory authority in any jurisdiction” in respect of a decision of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants dated 7 April 2022, that Mr Yip in his capacity as engagement quality control reviewer failed or neglected to observe, maintain or otherwise apply professional standards pursuant to the Professional Accountants Ordinance with respect to an audit of L&A International Holdings Ltd and its subsidiaries for the year ended 31 March 2017.
Mr Yip attended the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and admitted the Complaint.
Penalty and Costs:
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalty:
- suspension from membership for a period of 12 months.
The Member was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of AUD$2,333.09.
