On 6 October 2021, the Disciplinary Tribunal found that Mr Qize Zhu breached CPA Australia’s Constitution of 14 May 2019:
- Article 39(a)(ii)(F) in that he had “been the subject of an adverse finding that has not been overturned on appeal in relation to the Member’s conduct, competence or recognition by any Court, professional body, statutory or other regulatory authority in any jurisdiction”, in respect of the decision of the Tax Practitioners Board dated 6 May 2021 which terminated his services as a tax agent for a period of two years.
Mr Zhu attended the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and admitted the Complaint.
Penalty and costs:
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalty:
- forfeiture of membership.
The following conditions were imposed upon Mr Zhu:
- he is not eligible for readmission to membership of CPA Australia until 6 October 2026
- prior to application any application for readmission, he must re-complete the CPA Program.
The Member was ordered to pay a contribution to CPA Australia’s costs of AUD $2,569.85.
