1. maintain professional knowledge and skill at the level required to ensure that clients or employers receive competent Professional Service; and
2. act diligently in accordance with applicable technical and professional standards when providing Professional Services.

The member attended the attend the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and denied the complaint.

Penalty and costs

The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalties:

• a severe reprimand

• a fine of $2000.

The member was ordered to pay CPA Australia's costs of $2485.

If the member fails to pay CPA Australia's costs and fine within the appropriate timeframe, the member's CPA Australia membership will be forfeited.
