On 30 October 2020 the Disciplinary Tribunal found that the member breached:

• Article 39(a)(ii)(F) of the Constitution, in that the member has “been the subject of an adverse finding that has not been overturned on appeal in relation to his conduct, competence or recognition by any Court, professional body, statutory or other regulatory authority in any jurisdiction” in respect of a determination of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission dated 15 March 2019 that no longer approved the member as an Accepted Independent Accountant for the purposes of completing Minimum Financial Requirements reports to the Queensland Building and Construction Commission regarding the financial position of any applicant or licensee.

The member attended the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and admitted the Complaint.

Penalty and costs

The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalty:

• a severe reprimand.

As the Complaint was sustained, the member was ordered to pay CPA Australia's costs of $2370.
