On 13 September 2018 the Disciplinary Tribunal found Mr James Price breached:

• Article 39(a)(iii)B of the Constitution in that he was Closely Associated with a Practice Entity which had become Insolvent within the prior two years.

Mr Price attended the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and admitted the Complaint.

Penalty and costs

The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalty:

• Forfeiture of Membership.

The Disciplinary Tribunal imposed the following conditions upon Mr Price, in that prior to any application for readmission he must:

• provide evidence of full payment of the Super Guarantee debt to the satisfaction of the General Manager Professional Conduct
• successfully complete the Ethics and Governance segment of the CPA Program or its equivalent at the time
• successfully complete a compliant Quality Review as a non-member at his own cost.

Mr Price was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of AU$576.32.
