By-Law 5.2(b)(ii) in failing, over approximately 18 months, to respond to Professional Conduct in respect of a Complaint made about him.
Mr Glacken attended the Hearing and admitted the Complaints.
Penalty and costs
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaints sustained and imposed the following penalties:
- in relation to his Quality Review, within 15 Business Days of the date of the Hearing, Mr Glacken must:
- return his signed Quality Review Report
- provide a written undertaking on his letterhead that he has resigned all audits effective from the date of the Hearing
- provide copies of letters to all his audit clients resigning his audit engagements
- remove all reference to the provision of audit services from all marketing material and stationery,
- in relation to Mr Glacken’s failure to respond to Professional Conduct, a severe reprimand.
Mr Glacken was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of $875.34.
