On 23 February 2017 the Disciplinary Tribunal found a Member breached Article 39(a)(ii)B.2) of the Constitution in that he was guilty of conduct derogatory to or not in the best interests of the company or its Members in respect of his conduct after taking the financial reporting exam on 23 April 2016, in that after taking the exam, the Member posted on an online forum information specifically taken from the exam, contrary to CPA Australia’s ‘Rules and regulations’ concerning exams.

The Member attended the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and admitted the Complaint.

Penalty and costs

The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the penalty of suspension of Membership until 23 February 2018.

The Member was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of $844.10.
