On 16 April 2016 the Disciplinary Tribunal found a Member breached Article 39(a)(ii)F of the Constitution in that the Member had been the subject of an adverse finding by the Disciplinary Committee of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants which found the Member had failed to ensure that his firm had Professional Indemnity Insurance coverage for a specific period.

The Member attended the Disciplinary Tribunal and admitted the Complaint. 

Penalty and costs

The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the penalty of a fine of $SGD1,500.

The Member was also ordered to pay costs of $SGD625.33.
