Penalty and costs
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained. The Disciplinary Tribunal took into account exceptional circumstances and imposed the following penalty and costs:
- that the Member resign from CPA Australia within 10 business days from the date of the Hearing
- should the Member fail to resign, his Membership will be forfeited
- prior to any application for readmission, the Member must provide a psychiatric report to the satisfaction of the General Manager Professional Conduct that he is fit and proper to be a Member of CPA Australia
- the Member must pay CPA Australia’s cost of $586.77 prior to any application for readmission.
Given the exceptional circumstances, the Disciplinary Tribunal ordered that the Member’s name not be disclosed.
