- By-Law 5.2(a)(ii) and
- By-Law 5.2(b)(ii),
in failing to provide a sufficient and satisfactory explanation in writing, or at all, as to why he had failed to complete the Quality Assurance Review.
Mr Hammond did not attend the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing.
Penalty and costs
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaints sustained and imposed the following penalties:
- in relation to his failure to respond, a severe reprimand and a fine of $1000
- in relation to his failure to complete a Quality Review, forfeiture of Membership until 31 December 2017 and Mr Hammond is not eligible for readmission until he first:
- successfully completes a compliant Quality Assurance Review, at his cost
- has paid the fine and costs to CPA Australia.
Mr Hammond was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of $975.73.
