On 30 July 2014 the Disciplinary Tribunal determined that as set out in Article (a)(ii)B.2) of the Constitution,

Mr Wen (Eric) Xu was guilty of "conduct which is derogatory to, or not in the best interests of the Company or its members" when sitting the CPA Program Financial Reporting exam on 23 October 2013.

The Disciplinary Tribunal found that Mr Xu copied by hand the entirety of question 1 and part of question 3 of the short answer exam questions, for future use.

Mr Xu attended the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and admitted the breach.

Penalty and costs 

The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the penalty of forfeiture of Membership until 1 July 2018.

The Disciplinary Tribunal also ordered that a fail be recorded against that exam result.

Mr Xu was also ordered to pay costs of $631.33.
