On 2 December 2014 the Disciplinary Tribunal found Ms Munevver Demir was ‘Insolvent’ in that she was declared bankrupt by way of Debtor’s Petition filed on 26 May 2014.

Ms Demir did not attend the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing.

Penalty and costs 

The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the penalty of suspension of Membership for the period of her bankruptcy.

In so doing the Disciplinary Tribunal took into account this was a low level bankruptcy, Ms Demir had made attempts to resolve her bankruptcy with her creditors and had self disclosed her bankruptcy to CPA Australia in a timely manner.

Ms Demir was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of $745.27 prior to reinstatement to Membership.
