On 3 September 2014 the Disciplinary Tribunal found Mr Boon Hai ONG breached Article 39(a)(ii)F of the Constitution in that he was the subject of an adverse finding in respect of a Decision of a Disciplinary Committee of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) effective 13 January 2014.

The Disciplinary Committee of MIA found Mr Ong had breached Rule 2 of the MIA (Disciplinary Rules) in that he was guilty of unprofessional conduct in that he failed, refused and/or neglected to return the secretarial records of a listed company. Mr Ong was reprimanded and ordered to pay costs of RM1,500.

Mr Ong attended the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and denied the Complaint.

Penalty and costs 

The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the penalty of an admonishment and that Mr Ong pay costs of RM1419.
