Our core services to members include education, technical support and advocacy. CPA Australia employees and members work together with local and international bodies to represent the views and concerns of the profession to governments, regulators, industries, academia and the general public.
CPA Australia is a self-regulating professional association whose members voluntarily agree to be bound by CPA Australia’s Constitution, By-Laws, Code of Professional Conduct and Applicable Regulations. CPA Australia recognises that the complaints process is an important step in ensuring professional standards are upheld by all members and its approach to the disciplinary process is guided by the principles of procedural fairness, confidentiality, independence and the right of appeal.
The Professional Conduct Oversight Panel is a three-person advisory committee of the Board and assists the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities in relation to the professional conduct and discipline of its members, having regard to the law, the highest standards of governance and the diversity of the membership.
Applications to join the Professional Conduct Oversight Panel for a three-year term close at 5pm on Thursday 1 June 2023.
For candidates to be successfully considered they must address each of the selection criteria in their application. Candidates are sought from the community and should possess high standards of ethics and be analytically minded. Expressions of interest are particularly sought from professionals with a background in legal, regulatory or disciplinary affairs.
